Welcome to Nonsense Guitar!
The fact that you're on this page implies that either you're someone I know, or you've found this page through Google, which in turn means that you either searched for something related to the word 'Nonsense' or the word 'Guitar'. Well, in both cases, you've come to the right place :) No, I refuse to believe that you searched for the term 'Nonsense Guitar'. Come on, I just coined it!
First, let me try to clarify that I don't mean to call the Guitar, nonsense. I totally love and respect the instrument (and music, and all forms of performing arts), and although I'd been wanting to since ever, but have only recently started learning to play it. I'm completely enjoying the learning experience and spend a lot of time, in fact most of my free time, practicing and trying to figure out the notes for a lot of (mostly Hindi, and some English) songs and then playing them.
I wish to, one day, be able to play some kind of Indian Classical music on this instrument of western origin, because fusion is something that has always interested me. But that wish seems to be highly far-fetched as of now. The short-term plan is to get the fingers moving over the fretboard as fast and correct, while still melodious, as possible, for which practicing songs seems like a good idea. Figuring out notes for those will hopefully have an added advantage of helping me have a, so-called, ear-for-music.
I've started writing this blog mainly to keep posting these notes, which are of my, and most people's most favorite songs, and about my experience with learning the instrument, and more. All these notes must already, in one form or the other, be available over the internet elsewhere, and as everyone learns to play the Guitar the same way, the experience is nothing new either. And about more, I still have to discover what it is; and hence I have a strong feeling that the posts are not going to make too much sense for anyone to read, except me, 15years from now. Which is why, this name of the blog was thought to be apt. A Nonsense blog, about a totally sensible and soulful instrument, Guitar!
